Tom serves as a director in the Legal Transformation + Information Management practice at HBR Consulting (HBR). Tom focuses on domestic and international regulatory requirements in the field of records management, helping global corporations create and implement policies compliant with U.S. and international information governance laws. Tom is an attorney licensed in the state of North Carolina, a certified records manager (CRM), and certified information privacy professional (CIPP/US).

Prior to joining HBR, Tom was manager at Huron Consulting Group.

Tom is an member of the North Carolina and Mecklenburg County Bar, ARMA (International / Charlotte – Piedmont Chapter), and International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). Tom has spoken frequently at international and local events, and has been published several times.

Outside of work, Tom enjoys spending time with his teenage daughter and playing guitar.
