HBR Consulting is seeking a Consultant for its Law Department Consulting practice. Specifically, we are seeking a high-energy team-oriented individual to assist our corporate legal department clients with identifying and implementing effective strategies that will improve operations and support the implementation of legal processes and systems. This role will also support benchmarking efforts to develop and implement customized recommendations for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain work-plans, develop concise and complex analyses, and prepare high quality deliverables
  • Create succinct and logically-structured written reports
  • Participate in client presentations and client meetings
  • Build client relationship skills
  • Work collaboratively with fellow consultants and client teams
  • Seek out opportunities for making additional contributions within HBR Consulting
  • Demonstrate industry and practice knowledge and a propensity towards learning new skills


  • BA, BBA or BS in Business, Computer Science, Economics, Accounting or Finance preferred
  • 2 – 6 years of relevant work experience within a consulting firm, technology vendor, research company or internal legal role
  • Proven analytical and quantitative skills
  • Exceptional computer skills including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. High degree of comfort using other Microsoft products (Microsoft Work, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Demonstrated organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Self-starter with an exceptional ability to multi-task
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively and to build relationships
  • Intellectual curiosity and willingness to take feedback
  • Have permanent US work authorization


  • Willing to travel (up to 50%)
