The Attorneys’ Liability Assurance Society (ALAS) will be hosting the Innovation and Data Conference in person on February 23-24, 2023 in Atlanta, Georgia, bringing together personnel responsible for creating new and innovative ways of providing services to clients or improving internal firm operations.
Day one will feature a discussion about the top innovations in legal services and their benefits and risks by Sean Monahan of HBR Consulting, Christopher Y. of Kirkland & Ellis, and William Gaus of Troutman Pepper; then Josh Smith and Erika L. of Theory and Principle will walk us through the lifecycle of creating a mobile application.
Day two will feature Ross Dawson, author of Thriving on Overload, who will share powerful, actionable prescriptions on how to flourish in an accelerating world; a conversation with Beth Faircloth of Jones Day, Hunter Jackson of McDermott Will & Emery, Karoline Jackson of Barnes & Thornburg LLP, Sean Santos of Faegre Drinker, and Scott Springer of HBR Consulting that will examine several examples of law firms that have leveraged data analysis and process innovation to enhance internal procedures, bolster performance, and reduce risk; and a panel session with Cindy Thurston Bare of Frost Brown Todd, Lisa M. Mayo of Ballard Spahr LLP, and Evan Parker of Parker Analytics LLC that will explore how law firms use data to enhance lawyer development and manage personnel.
