Terry is a Senior Director in the Information & Technology Services practice and possesses over twenty five years of experience in information governance and records management throughout the full information lifecycle. He specializes in developing an integrated approach to managing the continuum of law firm information including e-mail communications, electronic documents, and hardcopy records.
In his engagements with over 30 of the Am Law 200 firms, he has developed information governance and records management programs, and conducted assessments of existing programs against leading practices and industry accepted principles. Terry specializes in developing information management policies and supporting records retention schedules, developing strategies to manage firm and client information and records in matter-centric environments, defining functional requirements for document and records management systems, and implementing leading software applications to support the improved management of records throughout the information lifecycle.
A frequent speaker on information governance and records management spanning policy, strategy, risk mitigation and cost reduction, Terry is a founding member of the Law Firm Information Governance Symposium dedicated to promoting industry best practices for managing law firm information. He has been active in a variety of leadership roles for ARMA International, the association for information management professionals, at the local, regional, and international level. He served ARMA International as President-Elect, President, and Chairman of the Board from 2000 – 2003. Terry is a Certified Records Manager and a 2005 recipient of the ARMA International Distinguished Service Award.
Terry has a Bachelors in Management from the University of Phoenix.
